In Tokyo, animals were the first to be affected. There were no discrimination between zoo animals and domestic: fatal animal attacks rose 120% within one year. Amidst all these attacks, there were also the disappearances. At first it was just inanimate objects and parts of the environment. Trees. Cars. And then people started vanishing.

That chaos had an answer: the government institute MEXT. Focused on Quantum Research, their mission was to circumvent a crisis by transporting the whole population from then-present day 2215 to 2227.

However, they had made a grievous error concerning the Law of Conservation of Mass. Mankind was relocated; now it is a matter of time until the human race dies out. Until then, animals are roaming free, unchecked, doing what they can to survive in what’s left of Human civilisation.
